Listed – 1993m – Turf

Euchen Glen 8-y-o won at G3 level for third time recently, a four runner race on the soft going he is best on. Has won over 3200m. Likely to be too quick for him.
Forest Of Dean An able performer at this level, suited by 2000m and a sound surface. Respected.
Volcanic Sky An able 6-y-o but in 20 race career has never run over shorter than 2200m and stays 3200m. An unlikely winner.
Solid Stone Improved last year and won Listed race at Windsor over 1628m last month when benefited from racing alone. Stays 2000m and a fair chance.
Stormy Antarctic 8-y-o with good record in Group races in Europe. Won four runner Listed race easily at Goodwood last month when favoured by soft ground. Faster ground against him.
Blue Cup Won easily over 2015m at Epsom 11 days ago, wearing hood for first time and settling better. Must still improve further but in the mix.
Dawaam Lightly raced 5-y-o. Won nicely on all-weather track at Chelmsford in April but this probably too tough a task.
Father Of Jazz Progressed rapidly on all-weather tracks this year but disappointed in Listed race on turf in March, albeit over inadequate 1600m. Difficult to assess.
Felix Progressive 5-y-o. Best performance on most recent run in G1 at Meydan in March. That puts him well in the picture.
Fox Tal Sixth in this race last year and form since discouraging. Would be a surprise winner.
Juan Elcano 360,000 guineas yearling has not lived up to his price. Some fair efforts but has not won since debut in 2019. Only an outside chance.
Palavecino Versatile and able 5-y-o but probably not quite up to this level.
Patrick Sarsfield Improved last year, ending season with creditable second in G2 at Longchamp over 1950m. Just beaten in Listed race on return two weeks ago. A leading contender.
Victory Chime Multiple winning 6-y-o having first run at Ascot. Probably not quite good enough.
