G1 – 1600m – Turf

1

Accidental Agent

Career highlight was winning this race in 2018, at 33-1. Fifth last year but now a 7-y-o and no longer good enough.

2

Bless Him

An able performer but at a lower level. A good effort to finish second to Palace Pier in G2 in April but well beaten by classy winner.

3

Lope Y Fernandez

Has some good G1 performances to his name, mainly over shorter distances, but never won one. Third in G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile last year. A long way behind Palace Pier in G1 Lockinge Stakes last month.

4

Lord Glitters

8-y-o, Good record at Ascot, winner of this race in 2019. Won G1 at Meydan in March before well beaten fourth behind Palace Pier in G1 Lockinge. Likely to run sound race but unlikely winner.

5

Order Of Australia

Unexpected winner of Breeders’ Cup Mile last year. Not run since respectable effort in G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile at Sha Tin last December. Talented but a big challenge.

6

Palace Pier

Showed himself to be top class when winning the St. James’s Palace Stakes last year then following up in G1 Jacques le Marois in France. Only defeat in 8 races when lost shoe in G1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes last year. Won G1 Lockinge last month. May improve still further and a worthy favourite.

7

Pogo

Creditable efforts in G1 and G2 races last year but never won above Listed level and a distance behind Palace Pier in the G1 Lockinge. Only a remote chance.

8

Prince Eiji

Not won since debut success in maiden race in 2018. Failed in six Listed races, latest when narrowly beaten over this course and distance in April. Doesn’t look good enough.

9

Regal Reality

Third in Listed Wolverton Stakes at Royal Ascot last year. Sometimes run well without winning at G1 and  G2 level. Not run since September. A lot to prove.

10

Sir Busker

Won Silver Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot last year. Behind Prince Eiji at Ascot in April, then well beaten in Listed race in France. Doesn’t look good enough.

11

Top Rank

Lightly raced 5-y-o. Still improving and a well beaten but creditable third to Palace Pier in his first run at G1 level, in the Lockinge.
