2405m – Turf

1

Lost Eden

Twice led nearly throughout when impressive in minor events over 2000m on the Lingfield all-weather. Lightly raced, he was tried on a soft turf surface at Ascot last time, running a dismal race.

2

The Trader

Has gained four wins on turf, latterly last month when he battled bravely to win a handicap. That was over further than this and stamina is clearly a strongpoint. Stable with a good record in this race.

3

Soto Sizzler

This big gelding has an excellent Epsom record, winning
consecutive handicaps over this trip here in 2019 and then second here in April, only failing to peg back the front-running winner.

4

Australis

Easing in the handicap, required as he has been well beaten in his last two starts and is yet to win from ten attempts on a turf surface. His last 13 starts were over further than this.

5

Midnights Legacy

A good second of seven over further than this in a Salisbury
handicap last time, looking very likely to win at one point before running out of gas late on. Campaigned on good ground or slower.

6

Koeman

His three turf wins have all come on a fast surface, and those
conditions may be required here if he is to improve on two recent starts when beaten a long way each time.

7

Wait For The Lord

Her sole win has come on an all-weather surface. However she wasn’t beaten far when an outsider for a G3 over a similar trip to this at Haydock last time. May be nicely handicapped.

8

Group One Power

Now on a career high handicap mark but deserves that after two good efforts this season, notably when showing his liking for this track and distance by leading from start to finish here in April.

9

Frontispiece

Has a solid win and place record on turf, this being his first start at this idiosyncratic track. Often races prominently and is fine at this trip, seemingly best suited to a slow surface.

10

Autumn War

His two turf wins were early in his career and his two wins in 2020 came on the all-weather over further than this. Will need to settle better in this handicap as he often races too keenly.

11

Red Force One

The only one in this field to arrive here off a last-time-out win. He only had three rivals to beat but was always travelling like the winner in that fast-ground handicap. Has plenty of stamina.

12

Percy Street

His two Flat-race wins came way back in 2015 and 2016 and he has been competing more recently over hurdles, with limited success. A generous view would be that he is quite well handicapped now.
