The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) has opened 19 Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) on the days of day race meeting since 5 April to provide betting and other betting account related services. To meet the needs of customers and reduce the risk of over-crowding, the Club has decided to open 66 OCBBs on race meeting days from 11 April. However, any OCBB located in any “specified area” delineated by the HKSAR Government or in the vicinity of confirmed cases will not open. On the days of day race meetings, the designated OCBBs will open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, while other OCBBs will be closed. On the days of night race meetings, the designated OCBBs will open from 12:00 nn to 11:15 pm, while other OCBBs will open from 12:00 nn to 6:00 pm. On non-race meeting days, all OCBBs will open from 12:00 nn to 8:00 pm. The opening hours may change in the event of simulcast of overseas races. In addition, to shorten customers’ staying time in the OCBBs, betting account related services including the opening or reactivating of betting accounts will be temporarily suspended during the period of race meetings.
The OCBBs will provide audio broadcast of races in the betting hall and live broadcast of races in the Media Hall, Priority Zone and Wins Cafe at Electric Road, North Point on the days of race meetings. All customers entering Media Hall, Priority Zone and Wins Cafe at Electric Road, North Point are required to scan the LeaveHomeSafe QR code of the premises or provide their names, telephone numbers and the date and time of the visit, in addition to filling in health declaration forms. Broadcast of football matches and sale of Mark Six tickets will not be available at the OCBBs.
Public health measures including body temperature scanning, mask-wearing, social distancing and cleaning and disinfecting will continue to be implemented in all OCBBs.
