G1 – 1800m – Turf
| Al Suhail | Made a very encouraging start at Meydan, coming through to lead but just mown down late on in a G1 this month, still a close third. Very talented even if his attitude has been questioned. |
| Court House | A front-runner, almost holding on for a G2 win here in February, but finding G1 company just too strong last time. With some who finished in front of him in opposition here, he may find this hard. |
| Epic Hero | Won a 1600m handicap when visiting Meydan last year, and not beaten far when sixth in a G2 here on his return. Should be sharper for that but will need to be in this hot company. |
| Eqtiraan | Has been busy with five UAE runs this year, easily the best being last time when he came close to a shock G1 win, only finding the late surge of the brilliant Lord Glitters proving too strong. |
| Felix | Running consistently well against some strong opposition in all-weather races in the UK this year. Effective on grass also, but he is in the deep end here and a win would surprise. |
| First Contact | At long odds for a G1 over this course and distance on ‘Super Saturday’ but not good enough to offer a serious threat to plenty of rivals that he must encounter again here. |
| Glen Force | Formerly trained in the UK, he has built up a big reputation in Bahrain this year winning his last three starts – all turf conditions’ events over further than this. Clearly thriving but this is harder. |
| Land Of Legends | Has pace in his pedigree and will need to prove himself over this unfamiliar trip. He did prove too strong for nine rivals in a 1400m G2 here in January. |
| Lord Glitters | Now eight, but this brilliant grey gelding looks as good as ever, and has really thrived at Meydan. Has won a G2 and G1 here this year, latterly when – despite not having an ideal trip – surged past some of these rivals. |
| Lord North | A class act who had some of Europe’s best middle-distance horses toiling behind him in a 2020 Royal Ascot G1. Meydan debut, whilst a strong pace would help over a trip maybe just short of ideal. |
| Regal Reality | Having his first start outside the UK and yet to win from four previous G1 attempts. Nonetheless he is classy and finished strongly when second in a Newmarket G2 when last seen. |
| Vin de Garde | Won a G2 over 1600m in Tokyo last October, but just lacked a finishing kick in a well-contested G3 there last time. Deserves respect with Japan taking four of the last six runnings of this. |
| Zainhom | Close to the speed before weakening when 2.25l sixth to Lord Glitters in a course and distance G1 this month. Has improved race by race at Meydan this year, but more progress required here. |
