Tenno Sho Autumn and Melbourne Cup Day races to be beamed live for betting

Tenno Sho Autumn (1 Nov Sun)

During the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 1 November, the Tenno Sho Autumn will be simulcast for betting from Tokyo Racecourse. (2:40pm Hong Kong time).

The Tenno Sho Autumn (G1 2000m for 3yo and upwards) has a long history and is traditionally one of Japan’s signature races.  The Tenno Sho has been held twice a year since 1937. The Autumn race is currently the only G1 turf contest in Japan for horses aged three and above over 2000m.

Final declarations with draws for the Tenno Sho Autumn will be available on the morning of Friday, 30 October.

Melbourne Cup Day (3 Nov Tue)

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting seven races from the Melbourne Cup Day meeting to be held at Flemington Racecourse in Australia on Tuesday, 3 November. (1st race 9:40am Hong Kong time).

The Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival reaches its climax on Melbourne Cup Day. At 3pm on the first Tuesday in November, Australia comes to a standstill as people tune in to catch the race that literally stops a nation. In a little more than 3 minutes, Cup dreams are made for some but shattered for others. The 2020 Melbourne Cup continues to be the world’s richest handicap and staying race with A$8 million of prizemoney including trophies.

10:55 am       Jim Beam Stakes (Desirable Stakes)
12:00 noon    Melbourne Cup
01:00 pm       Furphy Plate (Melbourne Cup Day Plate)
01:40 pm       MSS Security Sprint (Always Welcome Stakes)
02:15 pm       The Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes (Maybe Mahal Stakes)

Final declarations with barrier draws for the Melbourne Cup Day races will be available on the morning of Monday, 2 November.
