Epicure

Well beaten in his first start at this level last out. Inside gate and lack of early speed probably to blame. Has done well over distance and at more open track. Early days.

Glenmacnass

Has two 3rds in 9 starts since moving to this level. Returned after 4 months off to finish 8th at a furlong longer than this last out. Generally performed better at left-handed tracks but also won at right-handed Nakayama. Drop in distance a plus but speed only decent.

Hiruno Atrani

Three double-digit finishes since moving to this class. Lacks speed. Likely outclassed.

Kafuji King

Returned after 9 months off to finish 8th over Niigata 1800m last out. Decent speed. Consistently in the money. Venue switch a plus. Not to be written off. Yutaka Take in saddle a plus.

King Forte

Been given mixed bag of dirt and turf. Has best a 4th in last 10 starts over dirt in this class, also finished 7th last out. Runs close to pace. Speed decent but likely lacks stamina for this distance.

Kurino Capone

Ran 9 times after promoted to this level. Only placed finish a closing 3rd over Sapporo 1700m in August. Well beaten in 2 recent starts, however. Runs from far off pace. Not promising.

Meisho Azteca

Four double-digit finishes since moving to this level, three of them over 1800m dirt. Lacks speed. Likely outclassed.

Morning Sun

Decent speed. Races close to pace. Missed board in all 5 starts at this level this year. Last won over the course and distance a class below. Worth a wager.

Spikenard

Raced primarily over turf but only finished 4th twice since summer of 2018. Ran 8th & 7th in two previous starts over dirt. Not promising.

Violet Imeru

Moving up in class after finally notching his second win on 26th start. Lacks speed. Likely outclassed.
