HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will simulcast 3 races of Caulfield Cup Day from Caulfield Racecourse, Australia and 6 races of British Champions Day from Ascot Racecourse, Great Britain, on Saturday 17 October. Bets will be accepted* for these overseas races. Besides, two Double Trio pools will be offered to British Champions Day.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club, in partnership with overseas partners, will again offer the World Pool for British Champions Day after the success of Ascot World Pool for Royal Ascot, including bet types of Win, Place, Quinella, Quinella Place and Tierce. The pari-mutuel-based World Pool will ensure maximum liquidity and stronger opportunities for customers across the globe for the meeting.

The tickets sales for Caulfield Cup Day and British Champions Day will be available from 12:00 noon on Friday 16 October. (Subject to further announcement by the Club)

Race times and betting pools

Caulfield Cup Day is scheduled as S1-1 to S1-3, and is due to start at 1:30 pm on 17 October. British Champions Day is scheduled as S2-1 to S2-6, and is due to start at 8:20 pm on the same day. Details of the post time and betting pools are:

Broadcast arrangements

Simulcast races will be broadcast on TV and radio. Customers can also review the overseas races at www.hkjcracing.com one hour after the running of the race.

Broadcast arrangement at Off-Course Betting Branches

All public halls at Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) will not broadcast simulcast races. However, Priority Zones, theatres, some media halls# at OCBBs and Wins Cafe at North Point will broadcast the simulcast races. Special measures will be implemented and notices will be posted to ensure appropriate social distancing. Customers are required to observe the social distancing and group gathering restrictions as promulgated by the HKSAR Government during their stay in the OCBBs.

‘S1’ or ‘S2’ must be indicated for overseas race bets

Customers betting with cash or through Interactive Services** on overseas races should mark the ‘S1 box’ or ‘S2 box’ and race number of the overseas race on the ticket or as required by the Interactive Services interfaces. Those placing bets via Telebet should clearly indicate the overseas race and race number to the operators. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input ‘overseas race’ and the race number respectively.

If ‘S1’, ‘S2’ or ‘Overseas race’ is not indicated as required, any bets placed will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.

The odds and starter information for overseas races will be available at all OCBBs, via Interactive Services, and on the Odds and Information Hotline 1835888.

Ticket Sales Arrangement for the Overseas Races

The tickets sales for Caulfield Cup Day and British Champions Day will be available from 12:00 noon on Friday 16 October. (Subject to further announcement by the Club). Selling hours for the overseas races are:
