5 | Lucky Lilac | Won G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies (1600m) to be JRA’s Champion 2yo filly in 2017. No match for Almond Eye as a 3yo when placed in G1 Oka Sho (1600m) and G1 Yushun Himba (2400m). Sole win from 6 starts last campaign was G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2200m) in November. Fared well when 2nd to Glory Vase in the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Vase (2400m) at Sha Tin in December. Kicked off the year with a 1.75L 2nd behind Danon Kingly in the G2 Nakayama Kinen (1800m) last time out. |
6 | Red Genial | 2 wins at 2000m and 2200m in 9 starts. Most recent win came in the G2 Kyoto Shimbun Hai (2200m) last May. Rounded off last year with 6th in the G1 Kikuka Sho (3000m) in October. Started as favourite but only 7th in the G2 Nikkei Shinshun Hai (2400m) in January latest. Hold-up runner. |
7 | Stay Foolish | G1-placed as a 2yo in 2017 and won the G2 Kyoto Shimbun Hai (2200m) the following year. Consistent at G2 and G3 level since. Two recent runs this term for 2nd to Blast Onepiece in the G2 America Jockey Club Cup (2200m) at Nakayama in January and 3rd to Chrono Genesis in the G2 Kyoto Kinen (2200m) in February last out. Sits handy but can race behind. |

Ran a close 2nd in his first Pattern start in the G3 Niigata Kinen (2000m) last September. Disappointing 13th in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m) two starts back. Finished a decent 3rd to Cadenas in the G3 Kokura Daishoten (1800m) on 23 February latest. |
11 | Cadenas | 4 wins at 1800m and 2000m in 22 starts. Placed twice at G3 level from 6 starts last term. Displayed brilliant closing speed to win the G3 Kokura Daishoten (1800m) in February, his first win since taking the G2 Yayoi Sho (2000m) in March 2017. |
12 | Chrono Genesis | One of the best fillies in Japan with 5 wins between 1600m and 2200m in 9 outings, including her maiden G1 title in the Shuka Sho (2000m) at Kyoto last October. Placed 3rd in both the G1 Oka Sho (1600m) and G1 Yushun Himba (2400m) last term, and 2nd in the 2018 G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies as a 2YO. Fair 5th to Lucky Lilac in G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2200m) in November; bounced back to claim the G2 Kyoto Kinen (2200m), defeating G1 Japan Cup runner-up Curren Bouquetd’or in February. |
