RACE 4 – WINNING TOGETHER

WINNING TOGETHER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.  WINNING TOGETHER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C W Chang this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in both front legs.  Before being allowed to race again, WINNING TOGETHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 6 – GENERAL CASTLEDALE

GENERAL CASTLEDALE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.  GENERAL CASTLEDALE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D E Ferraris this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in left front leg.  As previously advised, GENERAL CASTLEDALE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
