The Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Macau Jockey Club have suspended the 2020 Hong Kong-Macau Interport Series due to the current uncertainty around the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV). The two Clubs reached the joint-decision following discussions, which took into careful consideration the best interests of their horsemen and their wider communities.

The annual two-race Series comprises the Macau Hong Kong Trophy, originally set for 15 March, 2020 at Taipa Racecourse, and the Hong Kong Macau Trophy, which was to be scheduled in May, 2020 at Sha Tin Racecourse. Both races have been cancelled.
