Sacred Capital (J Lau)

Sacred Capital was Macau’s boom horse last season rising from an initial post-import mark of 65 to his present Macau rating of 125. The five-year-old has won six from 12 starts at distances from 1200m to 1800m. His big-race wins include the SJM Macau Derby, the Macau Gold Cup and the Macau 30th Anniversary Cup. The O’Reilly gelding turned in a grand performance in the G3 Sa Sa Ladies Purse back in November coming from the tail of the field, to run fourth only beaten two lengths behind Southern Legend. In his next start Sacred Capital powered home late for second behind all-weather star Hostwin Meraki, only beaten three quarters of a length in a Class 1 over 1350m at Taipa on 7 December 2019. Finished third behind Doctor Geoff in the G3 January Cup (1800m) at Happy Valley on his latest outing. Versatile in style of running, no ground worries.
