The Hong Kong Jockey Club bought two colts at the recent Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in Australia for a total outlay of AU$300,000 (approximately HK$1.637 million).
A strong, athletic son of Hinchinbrook was secured for AU$160,000. The bay, sold as Lot 602, is a three parts brother to two sprint winners, being the fourth foal out of the G2-placed Oriental Ruby who was successful from 1300m-1800m.
The Club also purchased the well-related Lot 714 for AU$140,000. The chestnut Street Boss colt is a half-brother to a pair of useful winners; his dam is the US 1200m winner Sachariste, a three-parts sister to champion sire Hussonet and a half sibling to the G1-winner Ekraar who numbers among his several top-class placings a runner-up finish in the G1 Hong Kong Vase (2400m). The youngster’s second dam is the US 3yo champion filly and three-time G1 winner Sacahuista.
