Dr Anil Prabhu, Veterinary Officer, has advised the Stewards that CALLED TO THE BAR, trained by Ms Pia Brandt, and LUCKY LILAC, trained by Mr Mikio Matsunaga, were the subject of a veterinary examination on Tuesday, 3 December 2019 together with all declared starters for The LONGINES HKIR events. Dr Prabhu has further advised that, upon initial examination, CALLED TO THE BAR was found to be lame in the right front leg and that LUCKY LILAC was found to be lame in the left front leg. Dr Prabhu has informed the Stewards that following a further examination of both horses this morning, there has been no change in their condition.

CALLED TO THE BAR and LUCKY LILAC will be closely monitored and a further release will be issued tomorrow following their routine pre-race veterinary inspection.
