The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast seven races from the Japan Cup Day meeting at Tokyo Racecourse in Japan (1st race 11:15am) on Sunday, 24 November.

The Japan Cup (G1 2400m for 3yo+) was first run in 1981 and has built a reputation over the years for being one of the finest mile and a half contests in the world. A purse of 648 million yen (approximately HK$46 million) makes it the joint richest race in Japan alongside the Arima Kinen.

Details of the supporting races will be announced later.

Final declarations with barrier draws for the Japan Cup will be available on Friday, 22 November while the final declarations with barrier draws for the other races will be published at HKJC.com on Saturday, 23 November.
