RACE 9 – UNICRON JEWELLERY
UNICRON JEWELLERY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. UNICRON JEWELLERY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Size this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right hind leg. As previously advised, UNICRON JEWELLERY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
RACE 9 – SMILING PRIDE
After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that SMILING PRIDE was mildly lame in its right hind leg with a haematoma over its right shoulder. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that SMILING PRIDE was lame in its right hind leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SMILING PRIDE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
