RACE 2 – SUPER EIGHTEEN
SUPER EIGHTEEN, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was distressed. SUPER EIGHTEEN was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A T Millard this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a stiff and restricted action. As previously advised, SUPER EIGHTEEN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
RACE 4 – HELAKU KNIGHT
After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that HELAKU KNIGHT was lame in its right front leg. HELAKU KNIGHT was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Moore this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be also lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, HELAKU KNIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
RACE 6 – SEVENTY SEVENTY
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that SEVENTY SEVENTY was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SEVENTY SEVENTY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
