Caulfield Cup Day and British Champions Day races to be simulcast for betting

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting a total of eight races from the Caulfield Cup Day and British Champions Day on Saturday, 19 October.

Caulfield Cup Day (2 races – 1st race starts 2:15pm)

Caulfield Cup Day is the climax of Caulfield’s slice of the Spring Racing Carnival. The day’s feature – the G1 Caulfield Cup – is not only the world’s richest 2400m handicap but also an important lead-up race to the prestigious G1 Melbourne Cup held in November. The supporting race will be announced later in the week.

British Champions Day (6 races – 1st race starts 8:35pm)

The eyes of the racing world will turn to Ascot on Saturday evening as some of Europe’s best horses and jockeys gather for the richest meeting on English soil – British Champions Day. The simulcast features five end-of-season championship races for horses of different categories and Europe’s richest handicap over a mile. The British Flat racing season’s champion jockey and trainer will also be crowned on the day.

Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (G1 1600m for 3yo+)
British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes (G1 2392m for 3yo+ fillies and mares)
British Champions Sprint Stakes (G1 1200m for 3yo+)
British Champions Long Distance Cup (G2 3190m for 3yo+)
Balmoral Handicap Stakes (1600m for 3yo+)

Final declarations with barrier draws for the Caulfield Cup Day and British Champions Day races will be available on the morning of Friday, 18 October.
