RACE 2 – AMBITIOUS SPEEDY

AMBITIOUS SPEEDY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.  AMBITIOUS SPEEDY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui yesterday morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.  Before being allowed to race again, AMBITIOUS SPEEDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 6 – MANAGEMENT STAR

After the race, MANAGEMENT STAR was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.  MANAGEMENT STAR was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K W Lui yesterday morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.  MANAGEMENT STAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial before being allowed to race again as previously advised.  The horse will now also be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 6 – SUPER HERO

SUPER HERO, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.  SUPER HERO was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui yesterday morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg.  As previously advised, SUPER HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

RACE 7 – SUPER MISSILE

SUPER MISSILE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.  SUPER MISSILE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer F C Lor yesterday morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to have a large swelling over the left front tendon area.  As previously advised, SUPER MISSILE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted yesterday morning of all other horses inspected during last Saturday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
