MR STUNNING
Dr Peter Curl, Executive Manager, Veterinary Regulation and Welfare has advised the Stewards that MR STUNNING (VI53), trained by Mr Frankie Lor and which is declared for the stated race, was noted to be lame in its right front leg this morning.
MR STUNNING will be closely monitored and a further release will be issued tomorrow following the horse’s routine pre-race veterinary inspection.
Dr Curl also advised that MR STUNNING has a number of skin lesions over its left and right body; samples from which have proven negative for ringworm and which are currently under treatment with routine antifungal medications as a precaution.
MR STUNNING’s condition and response to treatment is being closely monitored by the Club’s veterinary departments. However, at this time, the skin condition will not impact on the horse’s performance.
