RACE 4 – KIROV

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that KIROV was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing.  Before being allowed to race again, KIROV will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 5 – GREAT JOY

GREAT JOY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.  GREAT JOY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D J Hall this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.  Before being allowed to race again, GREAT JOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 5 – DEAL MAKER

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that DEAL MAKER was lame in its left hind leg with a swollen fetlock on the morning after racing.  Before being allowed to race again, DEAL MAKER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 8 – KING PRINT

KING PRINT, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.  KING PRINT was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C H Yip this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.  As previously advised, KING PRINT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

RACE 8 – NAMJONG PLUS

NAMJONG PLUS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.  NAMJONG PLUS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.  As previously advised, NAMJONG PLUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during last night’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
