The Stewards have questioned Jockey C Schofield regarding him easing HARBOUR CENTURY down quickly after that horse galloped at Sha Tin on Saturday, 30 March 2019. Jockey Schofield stated that he had some concerns regarding the action of HARBOUR CENTURY at the conclusion of the horse’s work and for this reason he quickly eased the horse down after the work had been completed. He said after easing HARBOUR CENTURY down, he was not able to detect any soreness or lameness with the horse. A subsequent veterinary examination of HARBOUR CENTURY conducted after the horse worked did not reveal any significant findings.
HARBOUR CENTURY has been examined by the Veterinary Officer this morning in accordance with the established pre-race veterinary inspection process. The Veterinary Officer has reported that HARBOUR CENTURY is suitable to race tomorrow night.
Jockey Schofield has further advised the Stewards that he will fulfil the race riding engagement on HARBOUR CENTURY in the stated race.
