Come enjoy the BMW Hong Kong Derby this Sunday at Sha Tin Racecourse

The BMW Hong Kong Derby is the ultimate prize in the three-race Four-Year-Old Classic Series and a once-in-a-lifetime challenge. It will be held this Sunday, 17 March at Sha Tin Racecourse. Alongside watching top-class horses in action, racegoers can enjoy a wealth of on-course attractions as well as appearances by Derby Ambassador Donnie Yen.

Fans attending the Derby meeting will each receive a BMW Hong Kong Derby Cap on admission to the racecourses before the start of Race 5, while stocks last.

International movie star Donnie Yen will be at Sha Tin Racecourse on the big day as Derby Ambassador to cheer on the Derby runners. He will also make an appearance at the trophy presentation ceremony.

The HK$18 million BMW Hong Kong Derby will be run on turf over 2000 metres as Race 8.  Dr. Anthony Chow, Chairman of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, will officiate at the trophy presentation ceremony. Mr. Martijn Oremus, Managing Director, BMW Hong Kong Services Limited, Mr. Gary Wong, Managing Director, Hong Kong & Macau, Sime Darby Motors Division, and Donnie Yen will present souvenirs to the winning connections after the race.

An array of on-course activities is available for racing fans to enjoy at Sha Tin Racecourse, including a brand new series of Derby-themed merchandise and special dishes for the occasion.  The latest BMW models will be exhibited at the Parade Ring and Public Forecourt for fans of slick cars to snap photos.

There will be 10 races on the card with the first race starting at 1pm. All racegoers must be aged 18 or above.
