RACE 1 – VIGOROUS SPIRIT

VIGOROUS SPIRIT, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. VIGOROUS SPIRIT was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, VIGOROUS SPIRIT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

RACE 6 – PHANTOM FALCON

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that PHANTOM FALCON was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, PHANTOM FALCON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted yesterday morning of all other horses inspected during last Saturday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
