HKJC buys All Too Hard colt at Gold Coast sale

17/01/2019 17:19

The Hong Kong Jockey Club bought an athletic bay colt from a high-quality family at the recent Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in Australia.

All bidding on Lot 398 stopped at AUD320,000 (approximately HK$1,770,000) during Book 1’s second session when the auctioneer’s hammer fell in the Club’s favour.

The youngster is by the great Black Caviar’s half-brother All Too Hard, a highly talented galloper in his own right, being a four-time G1 winner at 1400m and a mile.

The yearling’s dam is the G2-winning sprinter-miler Bellini Rose who has already produced a G1 winner in Howard Be Thy Name, winner of the South Australian Derby. It is also the family of Hong Kong International Cup heroine Romanee Conti and the top-class Darci Brahma, the latter a G1-producing sire in Hong Kong.
