Follow Hong Kong racing’s Rising Stars at the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s theme site (Website: https://campaign.hkjc.com/en/rising-star/index.aspx) and enjoy the thrill of charting their progress to see which will emerge as serious players in the upcoming 4YO Classic Series.
The HK$10 million Hong Kong Classic Mile on Sunday, 27 January is the first of three prestigious races that form the once-in-a-lifetime 4YO Classic Series, which also features February’s HK$10 million Hong Kong Classic Cup (1800m) and the HK$18 million BMW Hong Kong Derby (2000m) in March.
The updated Rising Stars roll-call ranks Gold Chest, Dark Dream, Furore, Ho Ho Khan and Tigre Du Terre among the best of Hong Kong’s emerging talents. In the coming weeks they attempt to prove their potential for this year’s Classic Series test.
Superich was already in the list and that four-year-old has thrilled racing fans so far this term. Having won his seasonal reappearance in October, Superich has performed smartly and the son of Red Giant appears set for a shot at the Hong Kong Classic Mile, a race that has been won in recent years by elite gallopers such as Able Friend, Lucky Nine, Rapper Dragon and Beauty Only. Harmony Victory, another four-year-old horse already in the list, opened his Hong Kong account in style last November.
The Rising Star theme site offers latest information and news to help fans chart the progress of their favourite young stars as they race towards the 4YO Classic Series and beyond.
