Instruction 5(2)(i) of the Club’s Rules of Racing provides that any horse from overseas and invited to compete in an international race conducted by the Club may, with the permission of the Stewards, wear any items of approved tack/gear in the saddling area, the parade ring and on the way to the start (but not in a race) on condition that such tack/gear has previously been approved to be worn by a Recognised Racing Authority.
Accordingly, the Stewards have approved the following horse declared for the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 9 December 2018 to wear a Hood in the parade ring but not during the race:-
STAPHANOS (Race 8, The LONGINES Hong Kong Cup)
The Stewards have also approved the following horse to wear a Hood in the parade ring and on the way to the start but not during the race:-
LYS GRACIEUX (Race 4, The LONGINES Hong Kong Vase)
Further, the Stewards have approved the following horse to wear two Hoods in the parade ring but wear only a Hood during the race:-
CROCOSMIA (Race 4, The LONGINES Hong Kong Vase)
