The Stewards have been advised the Jockey Alvin K C Ng sustained an injury to his right ankle during trackwork this morning which has resulted in him being stood down from his race riding engagements for the Happy Valley racemeeting to be conducted tomorrow.

Accordingly, the Stewards have approved the following riding substitutions:-

Race 2 -Young Empire, Ben T S So
Race 9 – Gold Land, Eddy W M Lai
Race 10 – Almababy, Jack H N Wong

A further release on Jockey Ng’s availability to resume riding will be issued at the appropriate time.

Alberto Sanna

The Stewards have also been informed that Jockey Alberto Sanna, who is currently suspended from riding in races, sustained a fracture to his right hip which requires surgery.

Accordingly, Jockey Sanna will not be available to accept race riding engagements in the near future.

A further release on Jockey Sanna’s availability to resume riding will be issued at the appropriate time.
