Cox Plate Day – 27 October 2018 (Sat)

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting six races from the Cox Plate Meeting at Moonee Valley racecourse in Melbourne on Saturday, 27 October (1st race starts 11:25am, Hong Kong time).

The Spring Racing Carnival continues at Moonee Valley this weekend with a strong programme where the feature event is the Cox Plate, the greatest weight-for-age race in Australasia. All eyes will be on Winx, the world’s highest rated racehorse who is going for an unprecedented fourth win in the Cox Plate. The Chris Waller-trained superstar has extended her winning streak to 28 following a dramatic last-gasp victory in the G1 Turnbull Stakes.

The six races to be simulcast on Cox Plate Day are:

Powerflo Solutions Stakes Tesio Stakes – G3 1600m for 4yo+ fillies and mares

Fillies Classic – G2 1600m for 3yo fillies

Crystal Mile – G2 1600m open
Moonee Valley Gold Cup – G2 2500m for 4yo+

Cox Plate – G1 2040m for 3yo+

Drummond Golf Vase (Moonee Valley Vase) – G2 2040m for 3yo

Final declarations with draws for the Cox Plate Day races will be available on the morning of Friday, 26 October.

Tenno Sho Autumn – 28 October 2018 (Sun)

During the Happy Valley race meeting on Sunday, 28 October, the Tenno Sho Autumn will be simulcast for betting from Tokyo Racecourse (2:40pm, Hong Kong time).

The Tenno Sho Autumn (G1 2000m for 3yo and upwards) with its long history is traditionally one of Japan’s signature races.  The Tenno Sho has been held twice a year since 1937. The Autumn race is currently the only G1 turf contest in Japan for horses aged three and above over 2000m.

Final declarations with draws for the Tenno Sho Autumn will be available on the morning of Friday, 26 October.
