G1 – 2392m – Turf
| Coronet | She has not looked happy on fast ground on her last two starts but she still managed places in those G1 events here at Ascot and at York, latterly when only beaten by Sea Of Class who came so close to winning the Arc subsequently. She’s very consistent. |
| God Given | Has often led but was ridden with more restraint over a longer trip than this at Doncaster last time when – despite racing very freely – she showed worthy commitment close home to win that G2 prize. She’ll need to settle better in this even stronger company but seems happy on any ground. |
| Hydrangea | Although under pressure a long way from home, she responded to Ryan Moore’s urgings to win this last year. She comes into this year’s race with a different profile having been absent since a dismal effort in July. However she’s run well off a break before and can’t be ignored. |
| Kitesurf | A powerful filly who missed the Arc in favour of this and has posted career best performances on her last two starts. Most recently she was strongest at the finish when winning a G1 over 2400m at Longchamp last month. Has won on soft and good. |
| Broadway | Seems to thrive on racing and though having raced 11 times this year, the figures suggest that her last three runs have been her best. Most recently she stayed on strongly to win a G3 at Gowran Park over 1891m. Up in trip but her pedigree is hopeful about that. |
| Bye Bye Baby | Back in May she led from gate to wire in a soft ground G3 at The Curragh. Her five subsequent runs have all been in G1 company and she’s been well beaten each time suggesting that her winning chances here are gloomy. |
| Flattering | Quick from the gates she led all the way to win a fast-ground G3 at Cork over a similar trip to this in June. Generally well beaten since, and she had two of today’s rivals in front of her when 4th in a G2 over further than this at Doncaster last time. |
| Lah Ti Dar | Had looked very good on her first two starts earlier this year, romping clear each time. After a break due to illness she reappeared in a Listed event over 2371m at York, thrashing her rivals by 10L and upwards. Ran a cracking 2nd in the G1 St Leger over further at Doncaster last time. Slow ground thought ideal. Big chance. |
| Magical | Prominent from the gate she stretched clear in the closing stages to easily win an 1800m fast-ground G2 at The Curragh in July. She’s had problems and raced just twice since – finishing 10th in the Arc last time. Arc runners don’t have a great record at this meeting. |
| Pilaster | An athletic, lightly-raced and upwardly mobile filly who got the better of a sustained stretch dual with a talented rival when winning a G2 over 2800m at Goodwood in August. Things didn’t play her way so well at Doncaster last time. Will be fine over this shorter trip. |
| Sizzling | A tough filly who is a strong stayer. She has won just three of her 20 starts and doesn’t look up to G1 standard with other contenders from her stable surely in with a bigger chance here. |
