Free entries will close in one week for all four Group 1 contests at the 2018 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, which will take place at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday, 9 December.
The closing time for free entries to the flagship year-end occasion is midnight (Hong Kong time) on Monday, 22 October, 2018. Supplementary entries close on 19 November, 2018.
The LONGINES HKIR carries total prize money of HK$93 million. The showcase contest, the 2000m G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Cup has a lucrative purse of HK$28 million; the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile is worth HK$25million; the 1200m G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint and the 2400m G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Vase are each worth HK$20million.
Horse connections can use the convenient Online Entry Form at the Hong Kong Jockey Club website, www.hkjc.com. The system allows multiple entries to be made at the click of a mouse to all of Hong Kong’s G1, G2 and G3 races throughout the season.
All of the jurisdiction’s 31 Group races are open to international entrants.
