G3 – 1009m – Turf

Dream Of Dreams His three career wins have all come over further than this and also on a slow surface, an unlikely scenario here. Lengthy gaps between his two starts this year, racing too keenly early in a G3 on the all-weather at Newcastle recently spoiling his chance.
Judicial More relaxed than he used to be and with an impressive strike-rate of ten wins from 25 starts.  Well capable at this level, and only nailed close to the wire in a G3 at Newmarket in May, a powerful late finish saw him win a lesser event last time.
Mirza An 11-times winning veteran. Last on his first two starts this season but ran much better with a strong finish on favourably fast ground in a Listed event at Naas last month. Ran way above his long odds when runner-up in this last year.
Mr Lupton Not beaten far when eighth of 28 in a hot 1200m Royal Ascot handicap last time. Previously he had come from last to first in a strong handicap over this distance at York. This long-striding, ground versatile sprinter is likely to be played late again.
Muthmir Fourth in this in 2017 when giving weight to all his rivals. Usually played late, he is best on a fast surface and, despite reaching the veteran stage, is capable of some excellent efforts, such as when landing a Listed contest at Haydock in June.
Haddaf From a family that often improve with age. In great form this season, winning three of his four starts – two of them over this course and distance – at handicap and Listed level. Up in grade here, but his trademark late surge can be impressive.
Koditime Started favourite for a Listed event over this course and distance despite an unfavourably wide gate. Missing the start, he never got involved. Two earlier starts this season were much better. Needs to be delivered late as lazy in front.
Sound And Silence Yet to recapture some classy two-year-old form – including a G3 win – so far in 2018. Establishing a good lead 500m out in a Listed contest here last month, looking the most likely winner until fading into fourth behind Haddaf.
Different League Defeated a big field in a 1200m G3 at Royal Ascot in 2017. Struggling to hit top gear since though her G1 sixth over 1000m at Royal Ascot last time was positive though she was under pressure a long way out. Sandown’s uphill track should help.
Tricksy Spirit Relatively unfancied but she came from the back to run a good second to Haddaf in a Listed event over this course and distance last month. However she’s been well beaten since and, on ratings, looks to face a tough challenge here.
