The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting seven races from the Eclipse Stakes Day meeting at Sandown Racecourse in the United Kingdom on Saturday, 7 July (1st race 7:20pm).
Established in 1886, the Group 1 Eclipse Stakes (1990m, for 3yo+) is run in memory of the greatest English racehorse of the 18th century, Eclipse, which was born during the solar eclipse of April, 1764. Many of racing’s biggest names have won the race, including the great champions Isinglass (1894), Mill Reef (1971) and Brigadier Gerard (1972), as well as star gallopers such as Sadler’s Wells (1984), Dancing Brave (1986), Mtoto (1987, 1988), Giant’s Causeway (2000), Sea The Stars (2009), So You Think (2011) and Golden Horn (2015).
