SIN G1 – 1200m – Turf
| Countofmontecristo | Former champion three-year-old who finished 2nd in the G3 Rocket Man Sprint (1200m) before running 2nd again in the G2 Merlion Trophy (1200m), where he reached the lead and was grabbed late by Distinctive Darci. Looks the horse to beat here. |
| Distinctive Darci | A Polytrack specialist who produced a career high performance when winning the G2 Merlion Trophy (1200m). All nine career wins have come on the AWT surface and he remains winless from six turf starts. |
| Alibi | Returned from a long lay-off with a solid 5th in the G3 Rocket Man Sprint (1200m) before an honest 6th in the G2 Merlion Trophy (1200m). Has been plagued by injuries and may lack race fitness. |
| Lim’s Cruiser | Won this race in 2017 and looks more than capable of defending his title this year. Returned from a spell with a slashing 3rd in the G2 Merlion Trophy (1200m) when he was doing his best work late. He will appreciate the switch to the turf track and looks a big winning chance. |
| Poseidon | Nine-time winner who won the Kranji Stakes A (1400m) last year. Goes well first-up and can improve under new trainer David Kok but will likely find this assignment too tough. |
| Aramco | Scored a surprise win in the G3 Rocket Man Sprint (1200m) before running 8th in G2 Merlion Trophy (1200m) when few excuses could be offered. |
| Mr Fantastic | Another handicapper performer who looks out of his depth at Group level after finishing last in the G3 Rocket Man Sprint (1200m). Not suited here. |
| Skywalk | Failed to fire when fresh in the G3 Rocket Man Sprint (1200m) for a disappointing 8th, however bounced back last week by winning Kranji Stakes B (1100m) on the Polytrack. |
| Super Fortune | Exciting sprinter who claimed the Kranji Stakes A over 1200m this year before being poorly ridden in the G3 Rocket Man Sprint (1200m) when finishing 6th. Overlook that effort and he can figure. |
| Rafaello | Heavily-supported last start when returning to form and winning an easier race in Class 2 over 1200m. |
| Raise No Doubt | Old-timer who has been racing well but looks to have the job well and truly in front of him at this level. |
| Constant Justice | Another horse that prefers the Polytrack and remains winless on turf in Singapore. Finished 11th in the G2 Merlion Trophy (1200m) with no excuse. |
| Paparazzi | Faces a massive rise in class after storming home to win a Class 3 race over 1200m against much easier company. This will be much tougher. |
| Fortune Winner | Surprised with a fast-finishing 4th in the G2 Merlion Trophy (1200m) on the Polytrack. |
| Mister Yeoh | One of two three-year-olds in the race and the winner of the G2 Singapore 3YO Classic (1400m). Appears suited by the drop back to 1200m and a win would not surprise. |
| Zac Kasa | Looks to be an exciting sprinter of the future, and a horse that will relish the drop back to 1200m after failing in the G2 Singapore 3YO Classic (1400m). Will be on speed and can surprise with a good run. |
