| 7 | Morning Turf | Former Australian galloper who was placed on Geelong’s synthetic track but arrives as a three-start maiden. Recent barrier trial was only average and hard to suggest he can win. |
| 8 | Paragon Star | Ultra-consistent at this level and getting close to another win. Value chance. |
| 9 | Elena Of Avalor | Placed at three of her four career starts and freshened up since a solid 3rd in the same grade. Recently scored a barrier trial win and looks ready to run a big race. |

| 13 | Lucky Boy | Winner four starts ago on the Polytrack but failed three times since. Mixes his form and is hard to follow. |
| 14 | Military Alliance | Won a Class 5 two starts ago and then failed at Class 4 level last start. Needs it easier. |
| 15 | Perfect Girl | Remains a maiden after 10 career starts and is not suited here. |
