The catalogue is now available for the 2018 Hong Kong International Sale (June), with 17 lots set to go under the hammer at the year’s second HKIS session in the Sha Tin parade ring on 15 June.
The sale offers Hong Kong’s Owners an exhilarating opportunity to bid for select, unraced horses, picked from the world’s most prestigious auction houses and pre-trained by expert horsemen in New Zealand and Great Britain.
For the first time since the 2013/14 season, there are two HKIS sessions this season. In March, 26 horses went through the ring.
This sale has 17 catalogued lots, with sons of Holy Roman Emperor, Fastnet Rock, Shamardal and Redoute’s Choice among those up for auction. Past graduates include LONGINES Hong Kong Mile winners Good Ba Ba and The Duke, while the current HKIS flagbearer is runaway G1 Audemars Piguet QEII Cup winner Pakistan Star; bought for HK$6 million, he has earned almost HK$30 million for owner Kerm Din.
Like the March sale, the Hong Kong International Sale (June) will be held under lights in the Sha Tin parade ring, with the auction set to begin at 7.45pm. A 6.30pm cocktail reception will precede the auction.
