To mark a decade of The Racing Club, The Hong Kong Jockey Club will stage The Racing Club 10th Anniversary Cup at Sha Tin Racecourse this Sunday, 20 May.
Established during the 2007/08 season, The Racing Club (a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Jockey Club) aims to enable members to explore horse racing like never before.
Club members participate in behind-the-scenes programmes, meet celebrities and racing experts, cheer on their Club horses and celebrate victorious moments. The Racing Club also provides a wide range of exciting and prestigious lifestyle programmes that afford members a variety of special experiences.
"Today, The Racing Club has 1400 members. As a community of like-minded racing enthusiasts with friendships that go beyond the racetrack, The Racing Club will continue to contribute to Hong Kong's horse racing scene as an important part of The Hong Kong Jockey Club," said Mr Richard Cheung, Executive Director, Customer and International Business Development. "Going forward, we would continue to contribute to the ongoing success of The Hong Kong Jockey Club and its world-class racing."
Mr. Anthony W K Chow, Club Deputy Chairman and Chairman of The Racing Club's Board of Directors, will present The Racing Club 10th Anniversary Cup to the winning connections after the race. The contest, a Class 3 over 1400m, will be run as the third of 10 races and is scheduled to jump at 2pm.
