1st – Ivictory – Zac Purton
“Obviously he showed in his two previous runs that he might be something special and I was fortunate enough to get on him and at the right time. The race set up well for him and he showed he has the class.”

2nd – Mr Stunning – Sam Clipperton
“Great run. He was just beaten by a better horse on the day, I think the track might be a bit shifty for my bloke, on the day, and he took some time to really utilise that sprint, but I wasn’t that concerned. I still thought I had the race won. I was beaten by a better horse on the day, that’s all it is.”

3rd – Beat The Clock – Joao Moreira
“He tries his heart out. He ran very well, finishing off very close to the winner, I’m not disappointed with the horse, I think the track is playing in favour of the front-runners. At the end of the day I’m very happy with the horse.”

4th – Fine Needle – Tommy Berry
“He came in a bit fractious, we ended up where we wanted to be anyway in midfield. I was able to pinch a few nice runs coming up to the corner. The devastating turn of foot from the first three just had him finding from the top of the straight to the 150m, but once he got stuck into his work he ran closer to the first three. He’s only a young horse, lightly raced, so there’s plenty of upside.”

5th – Lucky Bubbles – Brett Prebble
“He ran respectable.”

6th – Peniaphobia – Neil Callan
“His best days are behind him.”

7th – Amazing Kids – Olivier Doleuze
“He ran well, it was difficult to make up ground today, we had a good run behind Beat The Clock but the winner was too good.”

8th – Thewizardofoz – Karis Teetan
“They just went too quick for him. I think seven furlongs suits him better, he just couldn’t finish off.”

9th – Blue Point – William Buick
“I had to work to get around the outside a little bit in the run up to the turn, I got to where I wanted to be, he was always comfortable, but turning into the straight he fell away very quickly.”
