Champions Day featuring three Group 1 races on a single day for the first time

Hong Kong will for the first time stage three Group 1 features on a single day. The Champions Mile and the Chairman’s Sprint Prize will join the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup to form an exciting Group 1 triple-header on Sunday, 29 April at Sha Tin Racecourse. A spectacular lineup of on-course activities is also not to be missed.

Audemars Piguet QEII Cup Ambassador Michele Reis

Renowned celebrity owner Michele Reis will attend the big day as the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup Ambassador for the fifth time and she will join the trophy presentation ceremony. The brand has sponsored the QEII Cup since 1999. To celebrate the 20th running of this prestigious international horse race under its sponsorship, Audemars Piguet has presented the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph QEII Cup 2018 in a worldwide limited edition of 200 pieces.

A brand new series of themed merchandise for the Champions Day will be available at the designated Sales Counters and Gift at Races souvenir shops at Sha Tin Racecourse on 29 April, while stocks last.

Racegoers can share their happiness on the day by joining the photo contest for a chance to take home fabulous prizes including two winners of Samsung 55″ The Frame UHD Smart TVs valued at HK$29,880 each. To join the contest, fans must share their best photos taken at the Champions Day at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday, 29 April, on Instagram with the hashtags #HKChampionsDay, #ShatinRacecourse and #GoRacingHK.

Admission to Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses will start at 11am with the first race starting at 1pm. All racegoers must be aged 18 or above.
