Golden Slipper Day races and Takamatsunomiya Kinen to be beamed live for betting

Golden Slipper Day (Sat 24 March – 1st race 11:05am)

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting six races on Golden Slipper Day from Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Australia on Saturday, 24 March.
A strong cast of two-year-olds will contest the A$3.5 million Golden Slipper (G1 1200m) – the world’s richest race for juveniles.

The six races on the card (subject to change) are:
Ranvet Stakes (G1 2000m for 3yo+)
George Ryder Stakes (G1 1500m for 3yo+)
Rosehill Guineas (G1 2000m for 3yo) 
Golden Slipper (G1 1200m for 2yo)
The Galaxy (G1 1100m hcp for 3yo+)
Epona Stakes (G3 1900m for 3yo+ f&m)

Final declarations with barrier draws for the Golden Slipper Day races will be available on the morning of Friday, 23 March.

 

Takamatsunomiya Kinen (Sun 25 March 2:40pm)

On Sunday, 25 March, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting the Takamatsunomiya Kinen from Chukyo Racecourse during the afternoon Sha Tin race meeting.

The Takamatsunomiya Kinen (G1 1200m) is open to four-year-olds and upwards and is one of only two Group 1 turf sprints in Japan with total prize-money of approximately HK$17.6 million on offer.  BLIZZARD from the Ricky Yiu stable is bidding to become the second Hong Kong-trained winner of the race after AEROVELOCITY in 2015.

Final declarations with barrier draws for the Takamatsunomiya Kinen will be available on the morning of Friday, 23 March.
