Themed merchandise and festive menu to celebrate at the Chinese New Year Raceday

02/02/2018 12:31

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is offering a wide range of limited edition merchandise as well as a festive menu to celebrate the year of the Dog at the Chinese New Year Raceday on 18 February at Sha Tin Racecourse.

Unique range of CNY-themed collectibles

A new range of CNY-themed merchandise, including the “Ric Tse Legography x Hong Kong Racecourse” Series, Hulu Series and Red Packets Series, are available at the themed merchandise sales counters and Gift at Races souvenir shops, while stocks last.

Leading “Legography” photographer Ric Tse captures the fabulous scenes from the racecourse during the Chinese New Year Raceday using a witty combination of bricks and figures. The series of merchandise includes paper-framed pictures, magnets and hand warmer cushions, all carrying a Chinese New Year blessing to racing fans.

To celebrate the Year of the Dog, Hulu Series blends the traditional Chinese lucky symbol “Hulu” with the Chinese calligraphy character “horse” crafted by renowned artist Simon Ma.

Also, the designs of the Red Packets Series – “Good Fortune” and “Stables Blessing” – are rendered in the traditional Chinese paper cutting art with lucky patterns and numbers together with Chinese family names of trainers, which will hopefully bring fortune to fans. This Series will be available from now until 15 February, while stocks last.
