1200m – Turf

1 Lim’s Stardom Nine starts for a win over the Polytrack 1100m. He had nothing to show from his first four starts and went for a spell after his fourth start on 26 March. He scored first-up in a Class 5 race on 27 Aug. He, however, failed in his subsequent four starts, including his 4.1L eighth over the Poly 1100m last week. His recent form is a concern.
2 Optimum Star 12 starts for a win over the Poly 1100m. That only came at his eighth start and the drop to Class 5 when he triumphed on 2 June. But he was not placed again in four subsequent starts. Last start on 27 Oct, he finished a 4.6L 10th over this course and distance.
3 Military Might 19 starts for a win over 1600m. He has two seconds and two thirds over 1400m (three times) and 1600m (once). He has been unplaced in his last seven outings. Last start on 13 Oct, he ran sixth but was only 0.7L behind the winner. He could show his might again at good odds.
4 Gold City It took this filly 15 months after arrival to make her bow in a Maiden event over the course and distance on 8 Oct. She won by 2.3L in a good time for a debut effort. She has improved further, judging by her good morning hit-outs and can make it back-to-back.
5 Boy Wonder Three starts for two seconds over the course and distance. Strongly supported in his debut on 11 June, but he disappointed with a 12.3L eighth over the flying Poly 1000m. He finished a head second over the 1200m the following start on 9 July. He started as the favourite on 30 July but beaten into second by 2.3L. He has not raced since and will resume fresh. Use betting market as a guide.
6 Black Quail Two starts for a last-start second over the course and distance. In that 13 Oct race, he was beaten into second by only 0.5L. That was a big improvement from his debut 7.2L fifth over the Poly 1100m on 15 Sept. If he continues to improve, then he is among the top chances.
7 Dragonite Making Singapore debut. Also unraced in Australia. Won a Singapore trial over Poly 1000m in 1min 01.69sec in Sept.
8 Roman Wells Making Singapore debut. Had four starts in Ireland for a second and two thirds over 1408m and 1609m. No showing in all three Singapore trials.
9 Easy Does It One start for one win over the course and distance. Made winning debut on 15 Oct, sprouting wings in the straight to kick clear and then staving off a serious challenger by a head. That was a win with full of merit and he can go on with it.
10 Ebraz Two starts for a debut win over the course and distance on 17 Sept. He sat on the speed briefly before taking the lead and was never headed again. At his second start on 1 Oct, he finished a 3.6L fourth over the course and distance in a Novice race. Since he has proven his honesty, he is a decent each-way bet.
11 Ferocious Three starts for a debut win over the course and distance as a two-year-old. Second-up he ran in a Group 2 race over the course and distance and finished a 5.5L seventh. Last time on 30 July, he came from behind to finish a 2L third over 1400m in Group 3. Fresh from a brief spell, he can spring an upset.
12 King Louis Making Singapore debut. Had six starts in Australia for a win over 1400m on a heavy track at Hawkesbury. Also ran third over 1400m in soft going at Newcastle. Ran a decent fourth in both Singapore trials. Worked with gusto on the main grass track on Tuesday morning.
13 Bringer Of War Six starts for a win over the Polytrack 1000m. In fact, this filly has been a consistent galloper who has yet to finish out of the first three and she has good gate speed. She scored third-up on 11 June. Last start on 29 Oct she ran a 4.2L third over the Poly 1000m in Class 4. Will be one of the pacemakers and is worth each-way play on consistency.
