The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast the Queen Elizabeth II Cup from Kyoto racecourse in Japan and the Singapore Gold Cup Day Meeting at Kranji racecourse on Sunday, 12 November.
Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2:40pm)
The G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2200m for 3yo+ fillies and mares) is one of the key features of Japan’s Autumn International Series and is the only race in the Autumn exclusively for fillies and mares in Japan carrying Grade One status.
Final declarations with barrier draws will be available on the morning of Friday, 10 November.
Singapore Gold Cup Day (7 races starting 2:55pm)
The Singapore racing season reaches a thrilling climax with the running of the time-honoured SIN G1 Singapore Gold Cup (2200m for 3yo+, 3rd leg of the Singapore Triple Crown Series). Unlike the first two legs of the Triple Crown which are run under weight-for-age conditions, the Singapore Gold Cup is a handicap based on a compressed scale of two points per pound to encourage participation of horses lower on the rating scale.
The day’s other feature event is the Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophy, the annual reciprocal race in recognition of the long-standing relationship between the two racing authorities in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Details of the Singapore Gold Cup Day races will be announced later in the week. Final declarations with barrier draws will be available on the afternoon of Friday, 10 November.
