The Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Raceday this Sunday (5 November) will bring an abundance of glitz and glamour to Sha Tin Racecourse. Renowned Asian artiste Meng Zi-Yi, this year’s Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse ambassador, will make special appearances at the racecourse to meet and greet fans. Spectacular on-course attractions include the day’s off-track highlight, a stunning fashion show by celebrity models.
Free door gift on arrival
Racing fans attending Sha Tin and Happy Valley racecourses will each receive a Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day Brooch as a door gift. This year’s souvenir brooch, featuring a horse graphic using meticulous line detail, is designed by internationally-renowned artist Jayson Atienza. The gift will be distributed until the start of Race 5 or while stocks last.
“Hong Kong Beauty & Glamour” Fashion Show
Irish milliner Noeleen Armstrong Kish will present her hat collection in collaboration with famous Hong Kong designer Doris Kath Chan. The collection will debut on the catwalk at the Parade Ring after Race 4 to the theme of “Hong Kong Beauty & Glamour” together with renowned actress Grace Chan and top models.
Feature race of the day
Miss Andrea Lee, daughter of Dr. Lee Nim Wang, a Voting Member of the Club, will officiate at the trophy presentation ceremony for the feature race, the Group 3 Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse. Sa Sa International Holdings Chairman and CEO Dr. Simon Kwok Siu Ming, along with the company’s Vice-Chairman Dr. Eleanor Kwok and event ambassador Meng Zi-Yi, will present commemorative trophies to the winning connections. The Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse is scheduled to be run as Race 7 (4:05pm).
Spectacular on-course activities
A spectacular line-up of on-course activities will be available for racegoers to enjoy on the day, including “The Beautiful Moment” Competition, an interactive photo booth “Bullet-Time Photo Kiosk”, Hat Pop Up Shop, Sa Sa Beauty Bazaar and the Sa Sa Make-up Workshop. Also, an extensive array of delightful Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day-themed merchandise will be available for purchase at the Concourse and Fun Zone Sales Counters, as well as the Gift at Races souvenir shops at Sha Tin Racecourse, while stocks last.
Ten races are programmed for the day, with the first at 1pm. Sha Tin Racecourse will open at 11am.
Participants must be aged 18 or above.
