Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day will be held on 5 November at Sha Tin Racecourse. This year, Hong Kong Jockey Club has invited renowned artist Jayson Atienza to design an elegant brooch featuring a horse theme graphic to demonstrate the style and elegance of Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day. A range of themed merchandise carrying this horse graphic will be available for sale on the day.

Atienza’s horse theme design has achieved a unique visual effect using meticulous line detail in black and white.  The Club has incorporated this special graphic into a range of merchandise items including windbreakers, watches, umbrellas, scarves, totes, wristlets, wallets and bag hangers, for racegoers to purchase at the Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day.

The themed merchandise will be available from the sales counters in the Concourse and Fun Zone, as well as the “Gift at Races” souvenir shops at Sha Tin Racecourse, while stocks last.

Renowned Asian actress Meng Zi-Yi is this year’s Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day ambassador.  She will dress in style to meet and greet race goers on the day. Race goers will receive a collectable souvenir brooch featuring Jayson Atienza’s horse graphic upon entering Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses (until the start of Race 5 or while stocks last).

The highly anticipated Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Handicap, a Group 3 race over 1800m, is the afternoon’s feature race, with total prize money of HK$3 million.
