Bow Tie chic calls at Oriental Watch fashion and timepiece-themed raceday at Sha Tin

The Oriental Watch Sha Tin Trophy race day, also known as Gentlemen’s Bow Tie Day, will be held on Sunday, 22 October at Sha Tin Racecourse. Male racegoers are invited to dress up in bow ties, while ladies can accessorise their outfits with something equally stylish – and bow-shaped!

On 22 October, a spectacular watch and fashion show, displaying luxury timepieces in the Parade Ring, will feature celebrities Elanne Kong and Oscar Siu. They will take the lead on the runway, showing off evening wear by renowned fashion designer Pius Cheung. A press conference was staged today at the Oriental Watch Company Flagship store in Central to announce the raceday programs, with Oriental Watch Company and Jockey Club senior officials, as well as jockey Derek Leung, Cantopop group C AllStar and renowned actress Tracy Chu in attendance.

Mezza One, the food plaza at Sha Tin Racecourse, will present two themed food items as fans can savour Asparagus & Seared Salmon Farfalle (HK$60) and “Bow Tie” Chocolate and Orange Ganache Tart (HK$35).

Limited edition bow-ties designed by up-and-coming Mainland China designer Weixu Wang and other accessories with equestrian and horological themes will be sold exclusively at a sales counter on 1/F of the Members’ Enclosure on the day.

Top-class sporting action is assured with the running of two Group 2 races – the Oriental Watch Sha Tin Trophy (1600m) and the Premier Bowl (1200m).
