G1 – 2400m – Turf

Libran Overcame interference when finished strongly in 1.5 lengths win from stablemates Antonio Giuseppe and Life Less Ordinary in G3 Kingston Town Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on 16 September. Won three of five at this distance. Likely to be stalking the leaders in this longer race. Capable on good and soft ground but has 50% winning streak rate on good tracks (seven wins).
Who Shot Thebarman Ran on well when 2.1 lengths 4th to Libran in G3 Kingston  Town Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on 16 September at second run of campaign. Fitter and always competitive when steps to this distance range. Not won in 15 starts this track but four times placed and narrowly beaten in G1 Sydney Cup (3200m) here in April. Usually ridden from behind and capable all conditions.
Destiny’s Kiss Slow to begin and worked home fairly when 3.6 lengths 5th to Broadside in the G3 Newcastle Cup (2300m) on 15 September. Suited this track where has four wins and two placings from seven runs at the course and distance. Won 16 races – 4 on good tracks and 12 on soft and heavy ground.
Amralah Squeezed for room on home turn but disappointing when 5.7 lengths 11th to Magnapal in Moonee Valley Handicap (2040m) on 9 September. Rise in distance does help as he did win the G2 Herbert Power Stakes at Caulfield, in October 2015, at most recent 2400m run. Goes forward, can lead. Best form on good tracks.
Big Duke Fair effort in leader dominated race when settled back and finished 6.4 lengths 10th to Harlem in G3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m) at Caulfield on 23 September. Has two wins and a second from three runs at 2400m and did win the G2 Chairman’s Handicap (2600m) at this track in April (heavy ground). Raced on speed that day but generally ridden back. Capable all conditions.
Antonio Giuseppe Ran on late when 1.5 lengths 2nd to Libran in G3 Kingston  Town Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on 16 September. Runner-up in this race last year at only attempt at the distance. Can be ridden forward or back. Capable all conditions but four of past five wins have been on soft ground. Moreira rides.
Chocante Eye-catching effort when 4.8 lengths 3rd to Winx in G2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) at this track on 2 September. Then disappointed when 3.7 lengths 7th to Libran in G3 Kingston Town Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on 16 September. However, that race was run to suit the back markers and he went forward early. Generally races on speed. Best form arguably on soft ground but has also won on genuinely dry track. Has won up to 2200m but not raced beyond that.
Broadside Led throughout to win G3 Newcastle Cup (2300m), on 15 September, by 0.3 lengths from Auvray. Again led when 0.3 lengths 3rd to same horse (Auvray) in G3 Colin Stephen Quality at Rosehill on 23 September. Front-runner who drops in weight; has finished top three in three runs at Randwick and performs on all track conditions.
Life Less Ordinary Worked home steadily when 2 lengths 3rd to Libran in G3 Kingston Town Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on 16 September. Fitter for that and best advantaged at the weights here among the horses who contested the Kingston Town. Races handy to midfield and has won up to 3200m so rise in distance no issue. Best form has been on good tracks but raced only twice on soft ground and has run well.
Foundry Covered ground but ran on well when 0.8 lengths 4th to Magnapal in Moonee Valley Handicap (2040m) on 9 September. Runner-up at G2 level, at this distance, in the UK before export to Australia. Versatile racing style and has performed on good and soft ground.
Loresho French import who had interrupted run and performed well when 3.6 lengths 5th to last year’s Melbourne Cup winner in Listed JRA Trophy (2500m) at Flemington on 16 September. Can be ridden forward to back and capable all track conditions. On the improve.
My Diamantine Raced handy when 0.4 lengths 3rd to Loving Home in Ipswich Handicap (2150m) in Queensland on 23 September. Up in class but does stay, having been placed up to 3200 metres and with astute trainer. Generally races handy or midfield. Has won on good and soft ground.
