HKJC buys Kodiac colt at Baden-Baden

The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased an athletic son of Kodiac for €200,000 from BBAG Premier Yearling Sale at Baden-Baden, Germany on Friday, 1 September.

The attractive youngster is a half-brother to eight winners, including the G2 Mac Diarmida Handicap winner Ramazutti. The brown colt’s dam, Mine Inning, is a stakes-placed winning juvenile from a black type family that includes G1 American Derby victor Pocket Zipper.

Kodiac is a half-brother to Invincible Spirit and is a source of class and speed, his best progeny being the precocious G1-winning filly Tiggy Wiggy and the G2-winning miler Kodi Bear.
