Listed – 1600m – Turf

1

Dancing Breeze

Has already competed over this course and distance, running OK on that handicap debut. Another fair run followed at Royal Ascot when 7th of 24 in a Fillies’ handicap. She looks more stamina than speed so a strong pace is needed.

2

Paco’s Angel

The figures suggest almost continued improvement, with her latest start looking a clear career best. In that Royal Ascot Listed handicap over the straight 1600m, she briefly led before finishing 2 1/4L third of 24. Considered best on fast ground.

3

Pavillon

All three runs so far have been on the all-weather but her pedigree suggests she should be at least as good on turf. She had to fight hard to win her first two starts and then ran a good third at Wolverhampton though failing to justify favouritism.

4

Queen Of Time

Twice a Goodwood winner earlier in the season and then a terrific fourth of 24 in a 1600m handicap at Royal Ascot. She could have been in the first three there granted a bit more luck. She wouldn’t need to improve much more to have a big chance here.

5

Soul Silver

This looks tough on her seasonal debut against so many race-hardened rivals. She won twice as a two-year-old and moves up in distance with some pedigree concerns as to whether it will suit.

6

Standing Rock

She made a winning debut in a 1600m maiden at Newbury just 23 days ago, mowing down the much more experienced favourite late on. The least experienced in the field but demands respect coming from the Gosden stable.

7

Tai Hang Dragon

Has already raced eight times in 2017 with the figures suggesting gradual progress. She finished strongly to win a 1400m fillies’ handicap at Lingfield last time but more improvement needed plus she’s not guaranteed to be suited by the rise to 1600m.

8

Tisbutadream

A tough filly, she’s been kept busy. Effective at this distance and on quick ground she won an Ascot handicap in May and was then third in an Epsom G3. She tends to race prominently and should appreciate Sandown’s demanding straight.
