Race 5 – FOREVER ACCURATE

FOREVER ACCURATE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.  FOREVER ACCURATE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A Lee this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg and to have sustained a small cut to the front of the right hind fetlock.  As previously advised, FOREVER ACCURATE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

Race 6 – GRAN MASTER

GRAN MASTER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea and also found the horse to be a “roarer”.  GRAN MASTER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer L Ho this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to have sustained superficial wounds to the right front and both hind legs.  As previously advised, GRAN MASTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted yesterday morning of all other horses inspected during last Saturday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
